Back to Team

The past is never irrelevant, and we carry it with us to our present and future, but it does not have to be an albatross around our necks. Instead, we can let it be the wind in our sail, propelling us into our future.

My approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral with aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I emphasize acknowledging the past with respect and dignity while focusing on enacting real behavioral change. I will work with you to set realistic, manageable goals so that you can attain the life you want for yourself.

I am a licensed psychological associate with a master's in Clinical Psychology, emphasizing Neuropsychology, from the University of Texas at Tyler.

During my graduate training, I administered neuropsychological assessments to older adults at the Memory Assessment Research Center in Tyler, Texas, as part of an evaluation of cognitive functioning. We worked in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County in an effort to assess cognitive functioning and provide services, information, and resources to those in need. Additionally, I trained as a graduate counselor at the University of Texas at Tyler Student Counseling Center, assisting undergraduate students in navigating the stresses of university life.

I am a member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, and serve as the Chapter Secretary for the Texas Medical Center/Rice University Chapter here in Houston.
